3-SPACE SEQUENCE:
The final project, “Place of Reflection,” was derived from prior projects the stereotomic phase, analytical, and the tectonic phase. We leveraged the logic of the architectonic compositions and reflected the types of spatial relationships developed in the composition and the way in which the different elements (stereotomic and tectonic) relate to one another to produce the spaces.

Analysis Phase
In this phase of the project, I investigated the interplay between stereotomic and tectonic architectural approaches through the lens of radial organization. Radiality, characterized by elements radiating from a central point, inherently fosters visual harmony and balance.Basilio Paredes Arquitectura y Diseño
The initial negative forms were developed to accentuate this radial symmetry, establishing a cohesive spatial rhythm. To complement and balance these forms, a centralized organizational theme was introduced, reinforcing the core-centric nature of the design. The use of extrusions, tectonic elements such as planes and lines, and materiality change was used to strengthen the unity of the two compositions.
FINAL 3-SPACE SEQUENCE
This project emphasizes that reflection is a thoughtful and deliberate process. Recognizing that reflection can be a vulnerable experience, I prioritized creating an environment that feels inviting and comforting. The journey to the reflective space is intentionally extended, culminating in a secluded area where one can be alone with their thoughts.
In designing this space, I drew upon elements identified during the analytical phase—specifically, transition, entrance, and terminus—to map the user's journey toward reflection. Key architectural concepts such as hierarchy, spatial compression, datums, materiality, and the strategic use of light were integral to shaping the experience. These elements collectively guide the individual through a progression that fosters a sense of safety and openness, ultimately facilitating meaningful self-reflection.
